Ironically enough, this is the same event that Shanna posted about in her tag! This is a cake I made for Lisa & Adam's wedding on March 2, 2006. I love making fun 3D cakes....mostly I do it for the kids' birthdays, but Adam's groom cake was a great excuse too. This cake was made from a mold for Winnie the Pooh and then modified to make it more monkey like. I should note here that I rarely come up with the ideas for my cakes on my own--I'm great at copying ideas I find online, not so good at thinking of the ideas myself!
And since I was posting about the cake, I thought I would add a picture of Caroline and Carter at the temple after the ceremony. It doesn't seem that long ago that Lisa and Adam were married, but looking at this picture makes it feel like a long time ago--the kids have grown up so much since then (and we added 2 more kids to the family!)

I loved those pictures of the kids. You did a great job with that cake! It was perfect!
ok Melinda, I just now saw this post! I will add to my blog soon! (Within a week is promptness for me, lately!) Keep watch. I love the picture of your kids at the wedding. You know what is funny is that I am cleaning out our downstairs closet, and was going through pictures recently, and I found one of Sydney and I at YOUR wedding! That seems like just yesterday too, but it's been about 10 years! Many wonderful additions have come our way since then!
We loved that monkey cake!! Thank you so much for doing that for Adam!!!
