Tonight I was putting Alex to bed and he was in a chatty mood. After telling him to be quiet several times I finally told him that if he asked for anything else he would get a consequence (a job he would have to do tomorrow). He was quiet for about 3 minutes and then this is the conversation that took place:
Alex: Mom, remember in primary you told the story of parents that wanted their kids to come and see Jesus, but the apostles said no, Jesus was tired and not to bother him. Then Jesus said to let the children come because Jesus loves little children and kids don't bother him?
Me: Yes. Jesus does love little children.
Alex: Can I have a drink of water?
Me: getting him a drink of water
