Birthday Haircut

Caroline has had long hair as long as I can remember--I think the last time it was cut short was in 2004 when she got a hold of some cat nail clippers at her Aunt Shanna's house and gave herself a haircut.

 Let's just say there were a lot of layers on the left side of her hair!

 She has been growing her hair for 8 years to get it this length (obviously a few trims in that time, but nothing major).

 Last week she decided she wanted to cut her hair and donate the rest to locks of love (who makes wigs for children who lose their hair due to diseases such as cancer).  She wanted to do it on her birthday.  I think she was a bit nervous even though she knew that is what she wanted.  We took the pictures of what she wanted and went to the lady that cuts my hair.  I have to say--I think she made an excellent choice!

 

 She now has a 14" braid that we are going to mail off to Locks of Love.
