Swim Team...part 1

Caroline, Carter, and Alex joined the Tuxford swim team this year.  Caroline and Carter have each been on 3 years now (Caroline skipped last year because she went on the trip to Utah).  It was Alex's first year.  They all did amazing.  Alex started out in May not wanting to even get in the water, and once he did he would only swim holding onto the lane rope.  By the end of June he could swim the length of the pool only holding on once or twice.  Caroline and Carter both improved their stokes--Caroline cut 6 seconds off of her breaststroke time and Carter started swimming the 100 IM (one lap of each of 4 strokes).  The kids worked hard and I am really proud of them.

The kids earned Tuxford Torpedo of the week twice this summer!

Aaron and I went to all the meets--I think Aaron wins the award for most patience!  Those 4-5 hour meets (arrive by about 4:15 (sometimes as early as 3:30) and get done by 8:30/9:30) in the hot sun watching everyone else swim are really hard for a 3 year old, but he did great.

The last couple of meets the kids started getting beads when they broke their personal best time.
