New Years Eve!

This New Year's Eve party was brought to you by Caroline!  

Every year Caroline wants to have a fun New Year's Eve party, and every year, something happens to ruin it.  Mostly that something is Matt and I being lazy, but the last 2 years have been out of our control.  Two years ago, Caroline was really sick and last year Matt and I both had the flu (and were asleep by 9).  I always find it ironic that I stay up until after midnight nearly every night of the year, except New Year's Eve--when i get tired and am ready for bed by 10!

This year Caroline really wanted to have a party so I put her and pinterest in charge of it!  She did an amazing job.  She planned a menu and we cooked, and cooked, and cooked until we had plenty for a small town the party.  

She planned all the decorations, games, a balloon drop, and, a photo booth!  It really did turn out amazing and it was really fun.

Not many made it until midnight!  All the guests ended up leaving (except Ellie who was staying the night), and Alex and Aaron were fast asleep long before the new year. Matt and I made it, Caroline definitely made it, Ellie surprised everyone by staying awake and Carter hung on and made it.  About 11:45 Carter told Caroline "I'm just pretending that I'm in social studies at school.  I'm not listening and I'm not thinking, I'm just trying to make it through!"  It was his goal to see the new year and he did it!
