Family Easter Egg Hunt

We have begun having our family Easter egg hunts after Easter--normally, we have scheduled it that way because there isn't a time for everyone to get together before Easter.  This year was the same, with the funeral and everyone sick we couldn't do it until the week after Easter--but we have decided we like it that way--so much cheaper to get all the Easter stuff the week after Easter!
Our traditional cousin's shot before the egg hunt.  We still miss Tyler, Grant & Parker---but with all the new babies, the picture doesn't look so empty!
 The real picture!
Heading out to get the eggs--now matter how we let everyone out, it is still a mad dash down the stairs!
Except for Aaron who comes along in his own time.
The kids had to use some teamwork to get down a few of the eggs.

The Easter eggs have some candy, but mostly they contain bunny bucks.  Bunny bucks is money that the Easter bunny uses in his store.  So the kids get all of their bunny bucks together and then go shopping at the store--the store has candy, bubbles, fruit, crackers, toys, pens, markers, etc., etc.  The store has so much fun stuff--things that can't fit in a little egg!  The kids LOVE the bunny bucks store and start talking about it months before Easter.  Carter showed me all of the stuff he got from the store and said "I'm totally rich on bunny bucks!"  At the end of the day Aaron asked me where all of his bunny bucks were. I told him the store has them since he bought all of his toys and candy. He said "Darn!  I was going to rule the world with Bunny Bucks!!!"  Not one to stand in the face of world domination, Grandma found the bunny bucks and gave them to Aaron.  He plays with them all the time and tries to bribe his siblings with the lure of earning bunny bucks!
We also celebrated two birthdays.  Matt's (his birthday was the day before), and Gavin's (his birthday was in March--and that is all we have to say!)
 Some father/son torture bonding.
 Aaron trying to rescue Carter.
The kids were playing with some loose brick that Grandpa has out in his yard and the tower fell over--right on Alex's knees.  We feared the worst, but he ended up with just a few sore knees.
