Every year or two I get a big pile of pine bark in my driveway--and then spend 2 or 3 days hauling it around to various parts of my yard. Since we were staying home for spring break I decided it was the perfect time for the delivery!
The kids are lots of help--Caroline played her violin, Aaron "axed" it (hit the pile with his mini shovel), and the kids climbed the hill and played games around me while I spread the pine bark. I do have to say that Caroline did help a lot with filling the wheelbarrow this year and Carter helped me fill it once in exchange for something he needed me to do.
2 days later my 11 cubic yards of pine bark were spread--and I was exhausted! But I beat the rain that came for the next 2-3 days!
