Let's Make A Deal

The other day we were looking for something to watch and turned on "Let's Make A Deal". We started watching it and the kids were enthralled by it! We've started recording it and watching it for our night show between dinner and bedtime (if the kids clean the family room they can watch a show).

It has been a blast to watch. The kids love to guess with the person who is making the deal--they take turns being the person and see who wins the best stuff (they don't have to agree with the person's choice--they decide what they would choose). At the end we each pick one of the 3 doors and we see who wins the best prize.

A couple of funny things that the kids have said about the show:
  • They haven't commented on how dated everything is--or how old fashioned all the electronics are--they just found out today that the show isn't current (when they asked me if I had signed up to be on it)
  • They think it is hilarious that Monty Hall's picture is on all of the TVs....every time there is a TV they laugh at how his picture "is on the TV again!"
  • They love how the contestants have to dress up in costume...they think it is a great idea
  • Caroline's favorite part is the end, during the credits, when he says "show me your driver's license and I'll give you $50", show me .... and I'll give you ....
Who knew we had been missing so much fun??
