Great Grandparents

We were so excited to have my grandparents come out for a visit. The kids don't get to see much of Great Grandma and Grandpa Olsen, in fact Alex and Aaron hadn't met them (we definitely have to get out to Utah more!).

They came out for 2 weeks this month and we had so much fun with them. When Matt and I were first married we lived very close to them and would go over and visit them a lot--it was nice to have someplace to go to get away from our tiny apartment and feel like you are home. We did so many things with them--they would come up and visit when we went camping--roast a hot dog and some marshmallows with us, Grandma helped me can peaches and pears every fall, they had us over for family dinners and so much more. When Caroline was first learning to walk we would take her little train walker and go to Grandmas house--Grandma's family room was big enough that if we turned the steering wheel all the way to one side, Caroline could walk in a circle pushing the train--she would do that for hours! (At our apartment we had to keep moving the train because our living room wasn't big enough.)

I'm behind on posting all the fun things we did with them, mostly because we were so busy doing them! So now I'm playing a little catch up.

Here are some pictures we took of everyone with Grandma and Grandpa on Mother's day (Shanna and her family were out of town if you were wondering why we don't have a picture with them).
