One of our favorite breakfasts is
German Pancakes. I grew up eating these and I think my mom first found the recipe when she was in Home Ec--either in High School or College, I can't remember for sure.
One of the best things about German pancakes is watching them bake--they get really big and puffy in the oven...

Here is a picture of them--unfortunately they loose all their puffiness (is that a word?) very quickly--but you can still see it a little bit...

Of course the things that make them the best--brown sugar and powdered sugar....

We also usually have fruit of some sort to put on--but that is mainly for Matt and I--the kids stick with pure sugar...this morning I was too lazy to get out the fruit, so we all had sugar. (Really--how can you go wrong--eggs, milk, butter, a little flour, and cover it in sugar!)
The kids eat on the plates they decorated...

Aaron wasn't too impressed with the German pancakes--but he did like the banana we gave him

The after pictures.....

(I took about 7 pictures of Carter showing his hands and everyone of them he had his eyes closed...oh well)

I forgot about German pancakes! Thanks for sharing the recipe, I'll have to whip up a batch for nostalgia.
