Today we all woke up late--the kids are always up by 6am...except this morning when I woke up at 7--my alarm hadn't gone off, the kids didn't wake us up, and I woke up when I heard the bus drive by our house!
Of course Matt had a conference call at 7 so while he rushed to that I hurried and got the kids ready and had them to school by 7:30.
I come home and keep the kids quiet while Matt is on his call then he gets ready and leaves while I'm showering. I finish getting ready, put Aaron down for a nap and my mom calls and tells me my phone has been busy all morning. I figure that Aaron turned the phone on while I was showering and instead of going up to my room to turn it off, I just unplugged the main phone and it reset all the phones. I also noticed that Matt had left his cellphone home, so I made a note to call him and see if he needed me to bring it to him at work. Then I went to work in the basement.
About 45 min later Matt calls down the stairs that he is leaving for work...yeah--apparently he had another conference call and stayed home to take it....and when I thought Aaron had put the phone off the hook, it was really Matt on his conference call...which I disconnected when I unplugged the phone--oops.
Obviously I need to be a little more observant in the mornings!
