I was thinking last night about how bad this type of thing must be for a baby--he goes to sleep just the same as every night. Then he is awakened early and not allowed to eat. Taken to a strange place and then after waiting a long time taken to a cold room and made to lay down on a hard bed with a mask on. The next thing you know you are with a stranger, your throat hurts, you are confused and in pain....there was no warning or explanation and you didn't agree to any of it......but the nice thing about babies is they move on quickly and forget about all the mean things you do to them.
Aaron was pretty happy--once he got over being mad at me for making him do the nebulizer.
Just before going to the operating roomHe didn't do too badly--they had to give him extra breathing treatments after the surgery, and he was in enough pain to get two doses of pain meds in the recovery room, and he really didn't like the IV...but other than that he has been great today (as long as the tylenol doesn't wear off!)
