B-I-N-G-O

The kids love Bingo night at the school.  I would love it too--if I didn't have to take care of  four kids in the middle of complete chaos!  I spend the evening trying to juggle 5-6 bingo cards, transporting dinner from the cafeteria line to a table (and the messes, complaints about the dinner), watching a 2 year old that has no interest in anything other than wandering off away from the table and a 4 year old that wants to be in the middle of everything, and managing who has received how many bingo prizes to evenly balance the prizes out.  All while trying to ease the disappointment of not winning the really cool raffle baskets.

Sounds like a great 2 hours huh!  I have to admit this year was better than most.  Matt was able to come (huge benefit--even if he did show up after I had juggled getting dinner for 6 to the table), and we met up with our good friends that live in the neighborhood.  She was there with her two boys and it was nice having some extra adult help.  The other thing that saved the night was sitting next to Caroline's good friend and her parents--an only child who passed on several winning bingo cards to our family which helped immensely with making sure all the kids got the same number of prizes.

The chaos--every so often they would take a break from bingo and have complete bedlam a dance break.
