After Christmas when we were in Cartersville for the Tellus museum, we realized that we were only about 20 minutes from our favorite furniture store--American Home Showplace in Dalton, GA. It is normally a little over 2 hours away, so we decided this was a good time to go and find some new furniture.
Going furniture shopping with 4 kids after a long drive, and a long day at a museum, and a 2+ hour drive home wasn't really challenging enough. We decided we needed another kid, so we invited my nephew Tyler to come along. Five kids was just enough to get us a lot of crazy looks from everyone at the store. Luckily we had 3 Nintendo DSs and a phone with Angry Birds so we did actually survive the 3 hours we spent there.
This is the furniture we bought--we got the blue leather chair and sectional and the rug. The chair was one we bought before Carter was born but it fit in perfectly.
The kids wanted to model the furniture
Aaron may be the smallest--but if he wants to sit in the chair by himself, he will.
Carter showing how it will actually be used
How I would like to think it will be used
Reality
Caroline wanted to show how comfortable the chair was
The kids decided they wanted to see what they looked like wearing my glasses (except Carter who didn't really care)
