Happy Birthday America!

Here is what the 4th of July looks like at our house.
Our ward's scout troop started a fundraiser to set up flags at people's houses for 5 patriotic holidays a year.  It was really neat to drive down the road and see the flags set up for the 4th of July.

Aunt Lisa and Cousin Ellie came over to make flag shirts yesterday.  You used masking tape to mark off the white areas and star stickers for the stars on the flag.  We used spray fabric paint to paint the red and blue areas.  Ellie said we couldn't skip on using glitter so we used a lot of glitter and said that was the fireworks!  We let them dry over night and the kids were excited to wear them this morning.

This is what the 4th of July looks like when you are sick.
Poor Aaron is running a fever and has slept most of the day.  He has had a bad sinus infection and was wheezing so I'm not sure if this is a worsening of what he is already on medication for, or if it is something new.
Tonight the plan was to go to the Braves baseball game with Grandma and Grandpa and Adam and Ellie, but it looks like 2 of us will be staying home.  And, unlike the picture above, with the record heat we have been having, there will be no need for sweatshirts!
All the kids ready for the ballgame.
