The place we went to go miniature golfing has a theater next to it and we had to go into the theater to buy the tickets. The theater had a photo op for Brave--my kids' favorite movie. After seeing Brave they are all obsessed with Archery and talk about the movie all the time. Their favorite quote is "No weapons on the table!" and "A princess does not put her weapons on the table!"
Aaron told me this morning that his name was now Merida (the girl in Brave) Aaron Urbanawiz. Lovely.
We finally got our clubs and balls and went to the practice green.
Aaron refused to use anything but a green club--even though it was way too big...but it didn't really matter for how he was playing!
Alex testing the wind before he hit the ball--I have no idea where he got that from!
I told all the kids to hold their clubs and take a picture at the end--obviously my boys are more into the battle mode than the golfing mode!
Matt won the game--he had several holes in one. Caroline also got a hole in one and had a great game. Carter and Alex did great. Aaron usually only needed 2 strokes on each hole-the first when he started the hole then he would pick up the ball and carry it over to about 3 inches from the hole and then hit it again!
Miniature golfing was more fun than it ever has been with the kids--but it was still exhausting--when Carter asked if we were going to play the second course I told him we would have to wait a while before we did it again (I need time to forget what it is really like before agreeing to go again!).
