Summer Bucket List: Lemonade Stand

Monday we held our traditional lemonade stand.  We have had one a year since we moved into the house 4 years ago.  Luckily we live on a main street and have lots of nice people in the neighborhood that stop.

It was a slow start but business picked up.  Lisa stopped by with Ellie and Gavin and Ellie was having so much fun helping that she stayed for 4 hours and helped drum up business.  I should have taken pictures of the kids jumping and waving at every car that passed!

Our favorite customers were:  The mail carrier who stopped by twice and got lemonade and cookies and a contractor that came by two or three times buying cookies and lemonade.  Our best customer (and all time-favorite) was a college age kid that came by 3 times buying cookies, brownies and lemonade.  He said the lemonade was so good he paid the kids extra to fill up a large cup he brought with him.  He also asked when the kids would be having another lemonade stand!  All in all he paid the kids about $10!

Overall the kids earned $25--not bad for four hours of work!
