Thanksgiving Day

This year we hosted Matt's family for Thanksgiving.  My parents were out of town (in Texas with Russell and his family) and Lisa didn't have anywhere to go so she joined us.  We also had Matt's cousin Michelle and her Husband and their 2 boys.  Penny and Chris Bingham and their 6 kids joined us (Penny had just come from the hospital with their 6th baby the day before Thanksgiving).  The Bingham's had previously lived in Matt's parent's ward so it was fun to have them over.
The kids and I stuck with our usual tradition of making Turkeys for everyone who came
Carter decided he wanted fancy napkins so at the last minute we figured out how to fold our paper napkins to look fancy not flat.
We had a section for cold food...
 a section for hot food
and a lot of pies!  This was after Roxie demonstrated her love of pie by eating one pumpkin pie and half of my deep dish apple pie.

After dinner Caroline, Lexie and I headed out to visit our family friend "Target".  Caroline wanted to go Black Friday shopping and Target opened at 9 so we headed out at 7 and spent a couple of hours in line with some really fun people that we met in line.  After doing some shopping and having a great time looking for good deals, we came home.

Awaiting me at home was a sparkling clean house--dishes were done, toys were picked up and the last of the vacuuming was being done.  It was the best present ever!!
