Just after Matt and the kids left on their hike, Aaron and I got a surprise visitor! My cousin Lori is attending Tulane in New Orleans and a Hurricane had knocked out her power. After a few days of floating around she decided to make the drive up to Atlanta to stay until power and water were returned to her apartment. My parents and Shanna and her family were out of town so Lori stayed with Aaron and I. Luckily Lisa was in town so we spent the weekend doing things with the Lichfields.
Friday we decided to go on a hike near Roswell Mill. Well, most of us went on a hike, but Aaron only wanted to go on a walk. So he went on a walk and Ellie went on a hike--luckily they did not realize the two could be mutually exclusive and were fine with having their own activity, but doing it together!
Saturday we headed up to Chattanooga to visit the Tennessee Aquarium. By this time Aaron was in love with Lori (except he kept calling her Mary). He played Legos with her and told her about everything that has ever happened to him :) He would do anything as long as Lori was doing it too!
It was fun, and exhausting!
By the time we returned home, Lori got a text that her power and water were back on so she decided to head home rather than staying the night (Caroline and Carter and Alex were sad to have missed her--they got home a few hours after she left).
