A Different Kind of Tag

Memory Lane...the tag that gets everyone involved

I got this from my cousin Jessica's blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Melinda, you were one of the first of Andy's cousins that I met. I remember thinking that you and Matt were so nice to me. I remember talking and seeing you many times at Grandma's, Andy's parents house, and reunion's. I remember when Carolina was born, and now she is so big. It is so great to keep up with each other through blogging.

I remember you bore your testimony on fast Sunday and talked about how Caroline taught her friend on the bus about the Plan of Happiness. You talked about how easy it was for her to ask her friend, "Do you know the Plan?" I have often thought about that and why is it harder for adults to ask that simple question.

I also remember seeing you walking the church halls with Alex and thinking, "She is such a good mom."

One of my favorite memories is when you were home from college for the summer and we slept on the bunk beds and we would stay up late watching Letterman on your little TV and you would bring me gummy bears home from work (at Ryan's!).

I'll start at the beginning, the day you were born. We were so happy to add another girl to our family. Next to me in the hospital was a 16 year old girl who also had a baby girl. I tried to imagine that baby's life compared to yours. We have been so blessed by you and the strength you have added to our family. We can always count on you and you have so many talents and abilities. I love doing things with you and am proud to not only call you my daughter, but also my friend.

I remember you watching my kids for me for a doctor's appointment one time when Shanna couldn't do it. And you really didn't even know me that well. I realllllly appreciated it! (and still do :))

Wow, this thing goes around fast! I remember when you and Matt and Caroline came to Shanna's house in your awesome Halloween costumes. You two were medeival people and Caroline was a bunny. If you can believe it, your pic is in my scrapbook.
