Snow Cones

At Caroline's end-of-year party for school, the first grade rented a snow cone machine and had a big snow cone party. Since I was there (as a room mom) my kids all got one, and of course, I had to eat one help Alex with his snow cone.

Ever since, I have been craving snow cones. Last week we pulled out our snoopy snow cone maker that the kids got for Christmas.

About an hour later, Matt had forced out shaved enough ice to make a couple tiny kids sized snow cones. Needless to say, I realized this was not going to satisfy my craving for snow cones.

What I really want is this one...

But, as much as I am craving them, the $600 price tag is just a little out of my price range. So, I went to Target and got this one...

Certainly not on the "professional snow cone maker" level, but hopefully it will work enough to make a few snow cones in less than a couple of hours!

Don't worry--I will be sure not to leave you bored hanging on the edge of your seats about this...I will update on how it works......

That is hilarious- I have been laughing for days about how hard poor Matt had to work to eek out those few snow cones!

I can think of a lot of things that would taste good, but snow cones are not on that list!
