Chattanooga

If you saw these faces looking at you, you might be a little afraid....but really it was the result of a fun day at the Chattanooga Children's Museum. The dog hats are a result of a special Clifford exhibit that we saw...the face paint is unexplainable.

The kids and I drove up to Chattanooga to meet up with Shanna and her kids for a fun day-trip. We started at the Children's museum. We spent 3 hours there and could have easily spent more. The kids had so much fun....

Carter shows off the "big one" he caught after going out on the fishing boat with Abigail and Aidan.

The water area was a huge hit--Spraying the water to turn the wheel (and spraying anyone standing across from you) was Caroline's favorite part of this section.

Dr. Carter discussed Abigail's health with her

We stopped by a dig site to help with the excavation of a dinosaur--Alex didn't love this after having sand thrown in his eyes by an excited archaeologist (of unknown origin)--several times.

A backstage look at the face painting--luckily the face paint easily came off with a baby wipe (what doesn't come off with a baby wipe?)

We had lunch at the children's museum cafe--not renown for the fabulous food they serve (my sliced apples was actually an apple that was cut into 6 pieces--stem, seeds, and all.

After lunch, we walked over to the Aquarium to play in the wading pools that wound around the front and side of the Aquarium. The kids had SO MUCH FUN here.

The area is divided into 10 or so sections and we spent time at each section....when it was time to move Shanna would announce that it was time to move to the next section and the kids would all move on....When we arrived at the last section a girl and her grandma joined us--the grandma said that Shanna must be a school teacher because every time she announced it was time to move her grand-daughter insisted that they had to move to the next section too!

After the wading pools, it was time for us to head home so that we could make it to Carter's T-ball practice.

After t-ball, we came home and relaxed, ate dinner, and went to bed! It was an exhausting day, but so much fun!

Looks like you guys had a great time! We have been to Chattanooga many times, but have never been to the Children's Museum. We'll have to take a trip up there, too :)

It sounds like lots of fun. Sorry I missed it. I'll learn not to go.
