Every year we participate in the "Summer Splash" on the Chattahoochee river. The Chattahoochee National Forrest rangers and the city of Sandy Springs puts on a festival. You drop your boat off at the put in then drive your car down to the take out. There is a shuttle to bring you back to the put in. At the take out there is a small festival and some music. We love the family boating trip and usually manage to talk a few other people into coming with us. This year Adam, Ellie & Gavin and my dad came with us. The river was great and the kids all love the rapids we hit right at the end. This year was the first that none of the kids fell asleep in the 6.5 mile ride...they are growing up!
