Disney Day 6--Magic Kingdom

In all of our individual planning, we had all picked to go to MK on Wednesday, and have a break on Thursday. I was excited to have everyone together!

The plan was to have Matt get a fastpass for buzz, I would take the three kids and ride dumbo, Russ and his family were going to the speedway. They dropped the rope and we were off--as fast as we could go, but with carrying a 2 year old (did I mention that our stroller broke on Monday?), and having a 4 and 6 year old walk, we could only go so fast. Matt arrived before we got onto dumbo, so he waited as we rode. We went to Pooh, then over to Peter Pan. After peter we did Snow White and the teacups. We then head to buzz and meet up with Russ and the family who were a few people ahead of us in line. We all ride buzz together-then ride again, and wait--one more time!

We get a call from my dad and we decide to ride Aladdin then have everyone meet at Pirates of the Caribbean. So we all go on the magic Carpets, then meet up and ride Pirates.

Waiting for our carpet at Aladdin:

We finished Pirates and it was about 11:15 so we all headed for lunch at Pecos Bills. We definitely needed that! We finished eating and decided to hit one more ride as a group--the Tiki Room. We arrived just in time for the little pre-show. The show was cute--for everyone except Caroline and Alex. They were both shaking and crying by the end and couldn't wait to leave. (yes--she went on rockin rollercoaster yesterday and loved it, the tiki room was too scary) so we went to the haunted mansion.

By now we were all tired and we headed back to the resort--the rest of the group stayed. Here are the kids waiting for the boat (I had to take a picture because it just screamed "ready for a nap")

We returned to the park at 4 and headed for Tomorrow land. Caroline and I went on space Mountain and Dad took the boys on Buzz Lightyear. Caroline LOVED space mountain and wanted to ride it again, but it was time to meet up with Matt. Just then the phone rang--it was Matt with the boys and just as we had walked out of space mountain they had ridden over our heads on the Tomorrow land Transportation Authority--what are the chances of timing that so perfectly? We met them at the exit and headed to Monsters Inc then Buzz.

My favorite thing about riding Buzz was that every time we would ride Carter would get to the very end and when Buzz would tell you that you did a good job, Carter would twist around a little and pull up and show Buzz that he was wearing a Buzz t-shirt--he did it every single time we rode (and added together over 3 days--that was a lot of times!) it was so cute, I wanted to keep riding just to see it

After buzz we walked to toontown. Matt took Caroline and Carter on Barnstormer while Alex and I toured Mickey's house (for a boy that loves mickey mouse, this was like heaven!) He loved seeing Pluto's house:

After toontown Matt decided that he really wanted to have dinner at Captain Cooks--yes at the Polynesian Resort. It made no sense, but we did it anyway. It was nice but not something we would go out of the way for again. I had a dole whip--finally. I loved it.

Back to MK and we took the train to Frontierland and met Shanna and her family and rode BTMRR (well, the husbands and older kids rode--we tried to keep the rest of the kids corralled).

After BTMRR we walked back and found out there was a surprise Spectro planned for tonight. We didn't want to wait for the parade so we headed for Jungle Cruise. I had wanted to try Jungle Cruise at night, but Carter and Alex were a little scared by it.

Shanna and her family left for the evening and we headed for tomorrowland. We did catch Spectro as we headed that way and watched a little--but the kids weren't that interested so we didn't linger. When we got to main street the parade had just finished so we made it through the hub without much delay.

Of course, back in tomorrowland we rode buzz a couple of times. Now it was 9:45 and the kids had wanted to ride the Indy Speedway, so we hurried over to get on before the park closed. We had a lot of fun riding and walked off the ride at 9:59PM.

We walked out and caught a lot of wishes--saw Tinkerbell fly over our heads and saw most of the fireworks--Caroline wanted to stay, but when she saw all the people that would be leaving she decided that watching from the boat dock was fine too. We caught a quick boat and saw the Electrical Water Pageant on our way back to the hotel.

It was a really fun, fabulous day, and we were all ready for a break!
