Being the flag family means you meet in the lobby at 8:15 and Stan meets you and takes you to the top of the Wilderness lodge to raise the flags (2 WL flags, the US Flag, the Florida Flag, and the Disney Flag). Stan is a hilarious old man that has worked at the WL forever. In talking to him we discovered that he had just, the day before, come back from Atlanta where he was visiting for a wedding--so he was on vacation to Atlanta and we had left Atlanta for vacation to FL.
From the top of the Lodge--I have a picture like this (from last year) as my desktop wallpaper, I love this view!

The kids each got to raise a flag

We took a couple of family pictures--Stan kept offering to take the picture. As soon as he would take it he would say "Oh wow, that was a great one--you are going to love it!" Let me just say---I don't think any of our family pictures that he took will be on our Christmas card this year (not his fault...but still :D)

After eating breakfast we decided to go to Downtown Disney with everyone. It was fun, and we had fun being together, but mostly it is just a place to have your kids ask you to buy everything--not exactly something I need more of!
After DTD we decided it was time for a pool break so we changed and spent a couple hours at the pool.
For dinner we had planned to eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. This is a restaurant that is known for being loud and fun and silly--perfect for our group!
