isn't nearly as bad as getting half a root canal!
I went today to get a root canal (found out I needed one last week when my tooth started hurting and I went to the dentist). I wasn't excited about getting a root canal, but happy I could get it and the crown done before the baby comes. Once I get there the Endodontist tells me that due to how far along I am in the pregnancy, they can't do the entire root canal--but they will do enough to relieve the tooth pain and then I can come back after the baby is born to get the rest done.
In actuality my tooth wasn't hurting all that much, and had I known I couldn't do the whole thing I would have just waited on the entire procedure, but oh well... So they did the partial root canal and then told me that the only pain medicine that will really help me is ibuprofen...which I can't take while pregnant. He said to try Tylenol, but it won't really do anything. Oh, and by the way I am not supposed to eat on that side of my mouth--it should be fine, but I'm not supposed to risk it (so this is no better than before when it was mostly fine, hurt a little and I was avoiding eating on that side of my mouth!) Great!
So now my tooth hurts much worse than it did this morning and there is nothing that I can do to make it better--and I still have to go back on January 6th and have it done again!

Sorry, I have never heard of 1/2 a root canal. That totally sucks that you have to go back.
sounds like a sweet deal to me! Sign me up!
