Tonsils

Alex had his tonsils out yesterday. After battling sinus infections for years, the tonsils were the next thing on the list of what can we do to try and get him healthy. (Sinus surgery is next on that list, so we are avoiding that at all costs).

He was great at the hospital--until he had to take off his froggy pjs and put on the hospital gown. He was so upset by that ordeal that they brought him a bunch of toys :) His favorite toy was the Mr. Potato head bin--he made a baby, a pirate dad, and a mommy. When they took him for surgery the meds they gave him made him relaxed enough that he was ok leaving me--didn't cry at all, but he would NOT leave the potato head family --so they got to go with him through surgery and recovery....I guess I know where I rate!

He has done really well recovering--but spends a lot of time with his hand over his mouth...as if to block anything else from hurting his throat.
