We blessed Aaron on Sunday, January 18th. It was the only Sunday we could get before March that everyone (living in GA) from both families could attend.It was a great weekend. Matt's parents and his youngest sisters arrived Saturday afternoon (Caroline had been counting the minutes) and Matt's dad took Alyssa, Lexie, Ellen (an exchange student living with them this year), and Caroline ice skating. David & Aubrey arrived after dinner along with Ben.
Sunday was busy and wonderful at the same time. The blessing itself went great--except that the microphone didn't work, so no one could really hear very well. Right before the blessing Matt asked me what I would do if he changed Aaron's middle name during the blessing (just joking about it). Afterwards I told him he could have changed it and I never would have known :)
I hadn't taken any pictures of Aaron before church because I wanted to wait and put him in the outfit once we got to church. I knew I would regret it later, but figured it was more important to make sure it was right for the actual blessing. Sure enough, about 5 minutes before church ended I went to change his diaper and it had leaked and his outfit was dirty--it wasn't too bad so I thought we might still get some pictures....just then he threw up all over both of us....so I decided pictures would have to wait!
We had dinner at our house after church. We had soup (clam chowder, chicken noodle, and ham & bean), rolls, and salads. There were cookies and brownies for dessert. The food went fast--so fast that 2 people (including my dad) who arrived 45 minutes after we started eating only had soup and rolls left to eat....but luckily there was plenty of soup!

I finally got pictures yesterday of Aaron in his blessing outfit that Matt's mom made and with the blanket that my mom made.

Those are some cute pictures of Aaron! And what is it with the microphone not working last week? Our didn't work either...and we had a baby blessings in our ward, too. They tried to talk loud until someone found a boom box somewhere with a microphone that had MTV written on it. Made for an interesting meeting. :)

Pictures turned out so cute! I wish we had taken a picture of everyone that was in Ellie's circle. What a good idea!
