First everyone rode their bikes. When everyone needed a break, Shanna brought out the decorations to decorate the bikes.

Then it was time for the parade. After a few arguments as to who would be the leader, it was decided that everyone would be their own leader.
Those that weren't interested in actually riding the bikes could color pictures with sidewalk chalk.
Or hang out with their mom
Alex was only interested in drawing pictures for Ellie, or giving her hugs.
The party was so great--such creative ideas. The kids weren't ready to go inside to eat lunch for at least 15 minutes! Okay--we did pick the very hottest day of the entire week to have this (all the other days we went swimming and it was overcast, chilly and windy)....decided to check the weather next time we do our weekly planning.
