Caroline's second meet was against CCOS--Caroline was supposed to swim in 4 events. 2 relays (1 swimming breast, one swimming freestyle) and 2 individual events (breast, freestyle).It had been raining most of the day, and the rain stayed for the meet. Luckily Aaron and I had a chair under an umbrella because I had left my own umbrella home. It was pretty miserable for everyone--the kids were fine when they were in the water, but the rest of the time they were soaking wet, cold, and tired. The meet was taking forever (the last meet lasted 3 hrs start to finish, this meet was only at the half-way point after 3 hours). About 7pm everyone was wishing it would thunder and we could call the meet. Finally at 8:30 they called the meet. Unfortunately they finally called it 3 events before Caroline's 3rd time swimming, so she only swam 2 of 4 events.
The good news was that she did great in the two events she did swim--her relay took first place!
