Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Matt's family. Normally we get together at Shanna's house, but this year we had it in Augusta. It was great because we went down a few days early and had time to relax and enjoy being there before the madness of Christmas descended.
Of course we couldn't get through a major holiday without someone being sick. Poor Aaron had been fighting a sinus infection for about 5 weeks and woke up Christmas Eve morning with a low fever and throwing up. Luckily he didn't get any worse and the dr said we were fine to wait until we got back into town that evening.
We had a fabulous lunch with all the family, then everyone gathered in the family room to open gifts.

The boy in Aaron came out as he headed right for the wii :)

Jonathan knew that presents were where the good stuff was!

We all had a great time and received some great gifts.

Alex loved the robe he got--he had been so jealous of Caroline and Carter's robes

Matt made Caroline a beautiful walking stick--he customized it for Caroline by making the top removable so she could screw on her camera and use it as a mono-pod. He really did an amazing job with the stick--it is beautiful.

We left about 6 and got home just after 9pm. We hurried and left out the cookies for Santa and got everything ready and went to bed. Alex was quick to remind us that Santa only comes while we are sleeping!
