Kindergarten Class Party

Carter's Kindergarten party was a Luau. The kids had a little performance at the beginning where they all wore sunglasses and did a little rap about the school year--it was so cute. Then we had the party--straw hats and leis, fresh fruit and juice boxes for the snack, and hula hoop games.
Aaron wanted to be right in with Carter on everything!
Carter had some of the best Kindergarten teachers ever. His teachers in the private K the year before had been, shall we say, less than ideal and I really wanted him to have a great Kindergarten experience. I couldn't have picked better teachers had I done it myself. Mrs Y and Mrs. R were incredible. They were fun and easy going, taught the kids a lot but in a way that the kids loved everything they did. Mrs. Y would talk to me about Carter and tell me things about him that she loved (like his sense of humor) that you don't see if you don't really take time to listen to him. She challenged him and helped him do so much more than he thought he could do. It was easy to see that they really loved their class.
Alex missed the party because he was at a birthday party for Grant, but Aaron and I loved being there with Carter to celebrate the end of the school year.
