School Lunch

It seems a little strange to be posting pictures of school lunch after 3 weeks of summer vacation, but this was our last time eating lunch with Caroline and Carter. Caroline and Carter's lunch times were at opposite ends of the spectrum--Carter had one of the first lunch times (10:30am) and Caroline one of the latest (12:25). Luckily, on Fridays Caroline had TAG (the gifted program) and her lunch was at 10:40am. So Alex and Aaron and I would go and eat with Carter and a friend from his class (usually Dylan) then Caroline and a friend (usually Jainey) would join us after a few minutes. Most of the time I packed a lunch for Alex and Aaron, but the last couple times I let Alex buy a lunch and share it with Aaron and they both loved that.

This particular day was a little tricky because when Carter's class came to eat the teacher told me they would be eating in the classroom. So Alex and Aaron and I went with Carter for the first half of the lunch period then joined Caroline in the cafeteria for the last half of her lunch.

I loved spending time with the kids and their friends and Aaron and Alex LOVED eating lunch at the school. Getting the visitor sticker was one of the highlights. The kids in the class loved talking with them. Alex and Aaron got more attention in that 40 minutes then they got in a whole day at home with me! Alex would always cry when we left because he wanted to take Caroline and Carter home too.
