The kids had their first swim meet on May 25th. It was a fun meet--or basically a meet to get times for everyone and see who should swim what. The fun thing about the fun meet (at least for me) is that it only lasted 1 1/2 hours (compared with the 4+ hours of a regular meet).
Carter swam Freestyle and Backstroke. Last May he hated swimming and wouldn't get his head wet at all....it is amazing the progress he made. This is actually the first time he swam the length of the pool without stopping to hold onto the lane rope.

At first he couldn't do the arms so he just kicked while on his back--he was still pretty fast!
Caroline swam Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke.
She loves breaststroke the most--and she is really good at it.

Yeah for swim team! One of these years I am going to have my children do it!
