Spring Break in Utah--Day 5 Haircut

One of the first things I did in planning our trip to Utah was to make an appointment with my cousin--the most fabulous hairstylist I know!  Emily cut my hair all through Matt's law school years and my hair never looked better.   I've been wanting to try something different for a long time, but didn't trust the person that usually does my hair to do something totally new.

This was how my hair looked before--basically the same style I have worn since college. 

When Emily asked me what I wanted done with my hair I told her something different and after a few suggestions we settled on this:

I really don't like the picture of me, but it is a good picture of the haircut.  I've never had my hair this short, but I really like it.  Matt was a little shocked when Caroline and I returned (Caroline just got a trim--we tried to talk her into chopping her hair as well, but she decided to play it safe this time), and the kids were pretty surprised, but I think I have gotten used to it and I really like it.  It is going to be great over the summer.  Thanks Emily--you did a great job!
