The end of July Matt had some free time and decided to take Carter and Roxie on a backpacking trip. Caroline was hosting her kids camp that week and couldn't get away, so it ended up just being the three of them. They went away for 3 days, 2 nights and had a great time.
They were out in the middle of a wilderness area, but still managed to meet up with a boy scout troop from another ward in our stake! Matt new a couple of the leaders from when we were in the ward. Apparently they gave Roxie lots of attention and once Roxie left camp and found the boy scout camp and hung out with them until Matt found her.
