The kids love going to their pulmonologist. We take all of them at the same time and after we get back to the exam room, someone comes to take them to play their breathing games. These "games" are various tests to get information on how their lungs are doing. The kids really love playing these games. After they get back it is only a few minutes and Dr. Brooks arrives. We have been seeing Dr. Ann Marie Brooks for about 8 years now and she is a fabulous doctor--one of those rare doctors that makes it impossible for other doctors to measure up. She is fun and loves the kids and is amazing with knowing how to solve any issues they are having--even things I had no idea were related to their asthma. I feel really blessed to have been assigned to her on our first visit.
On Aaron's first time doing the breathing games, he came back to the room with a little clip. Apparently they use these clips during some of the games, but I'm not sure how. I do know that he had a lot of fun playing with it back in the exam room!
