Stone Mountain: Mini Golfing with cousins

My kids really love to go mini-golfing.  I love it too, but you have to let go of your normal expectations of what mini-golf is like.  This is how mini golf looks when we play it with little kids:
  1. We don't keep score.
  2. We don't always golf in order of hole number--if there are too many people ahead of us we may skip to another section of the course and come back later, or not.
  3. Everyone is golfing at the same time--your ball will likely get hit by someone else's ball, or foot.
  4. Hopefully no one gets hit by someone else's club...but this is not guaranteed.
  5. If you get tired of hitting your ball with the club, you can pick it up and drop it in the hole.
  6. If you want to work with others to line up golf clubs to ensure your ball follows the path to the hole, this is acceptable--especially the fact you are working together and not fighting!
  7. Declaring "Hole In One" doesn't mean the same thing it means to most people.  Aaron gets a "Hole In One" just about every time he drops his ball into the hole.  We take it to mean that it only took one try to pick up your ball and drop it in the hole. (see #1)
  8. Adults don't golf because they can't follow the above rules.
  9. The only rule that is really enforced is not walking in areas that you aren't supposed to walk...but,honestly, that doesn't always get followed either.
With those expectations, we have a great time!  This time we went golfing while at Stone Mountain with the Lichfields and Grandma Olsen.
This picture is a minor (or not so minor) miracle!  Everyone of the kids is posed nicely and looking at the camera and, more or less, smiling!  And it was the first try!
Time for the silly picture!
