Teacher quilts

Carter's and Alex's teachers this year were absolutely fantastic.  I wanted to do something really great for them for their end of year gift.  After thinking about it for quite a while, I decided to make them each a lap quilt.  Alex's teacher, Mrs. Henderson, seemed more traditional and Carter's teacher, Mrs. Justice, is more hip.  I went shopping and found fabrics that I thought fit both of them.

I have to admit that, after making them, I loved them enough to consider keeping them!  In one of the corner circles I had Carter and Alex write a short message and sign their names and put the year.  It was really fun and it was fun to do.
