Wednesday we took dinner over to the missionaries serving in our ward. The missionaries thanked us for the food and then asked if there was anything they could do for us. I replied that we were doing fine, but thanks for offering. As we walked back to the car our conversation went like this:
Carter: Why don't you let the missionaries do something for us?
Me: What would they do?
Carter: Pay the bills.
obviously I complain a little too much when it is time to pay the bills!
Yesterday I was looking for the remote for the TV. Carter found it underneath a blue camouflage bandanna that was on the floor. He told me the reason I couldn't find it was because it was camouflaged!
We recently got prints of some of the flower pictures that Matt took while at the botanical gardens. Last night Matt put them in frames and put them on the mantle and entertainment center. This is what happened when Carter came downstairs this morning:
Carter: Daddy--your flower pictures are just beautiful.
Carter: I just want to cry.
Me: what?
Carter: When something is so beautiful it makes you want to cry. followed by little sobbing noises.
at breakfast this morning--Alex was saying "Cheese"

Hmmm.... that is actually a pretty good idea! I think I will suggest it next time the missionaries ask if there is anything they can do. Usually I just make them move furniture. ;)
