Art Barn

We had a chance to go to a local toy store for another activity (Alex had his baby class here). This time they had Farmer Sue from The Art Barn come and do a little activity for the kids. She brought a lamb, a baby chick, and a rabbit with her.

Caroline LOVED seeing the animals and was upset she couldn't do more with them. Alex loved the animals, but wasn't allowed as much access to them as he wanted (for the safety of the animals), Carter was OK with the chick, but after that was happy to spend his time playing with the farm toys that were set out.

After the animals had made their rounds, Farmer Sue helped everyone to draw a chicken. She was really great--the way she talked with the kids and the expressions she used were fabulous--some people really have a way with kids, and she is definitely one of them!

The kids had so much fun, they were sad when it was time to leave.
