Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Sometimes I think I am living a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde story.....I don't remember it being like this with the other kids, but that may be one of the things you block out forget as time passes (like how bad the morning sickness is when you get pregnant, or exactly how sleep deprived you get with a newborn)

So here he is...my own little Dr. Jekyll

A little boy who loves babies--helps Caroline rock her babies in her rocking chair, change their diapers and sings them songs.
A boy that idolizes his older siblings and loves to run and go outside--he is as big as anyone
The only person he loves more than his older siblings is baby Aaron. He loves Aaron so much that he doesn't like any other adult to hold him (he thinks they are going to take him home). He loves to lay by Aaron, sing him row-row-your-boat when Aaron cries, and gives him kisses all the time.
And then there is Mr. Hyde......

  • A little boy that hit both of his siblings and refused to apologize no matter what punishment/reward was offered.
  • A little boy that ran away from me in a store--so fast and through so many aisles that I only barely caught him in the diagonally opposite end of the very large craft/fabric store.
  • A boy that was mad that I caught him and started screaming when I put him in his carseat--when he discovered that Aaron would cry when being screamed at he proceeded to scream for 20 minutes straight (as we picked up Carter from school).
  • A boy that has discovered toilet water, bathroom sinks, and the fridge water dispenser (why do we have a fridge without a lock on that thing???). He not only discovered them, but is single handedly trying to flood the entire house...or maybe just all the wood floors.
  • A boy that decided that just water is not enough--adding flour to the mess makes everything so much better.
I thought I had been through the terrible twos with him already--I'm not sure my sanity will survive an entire year of the terrible threes....

Good luck! We all have a Mr. Hyde and a Dr. Jekyll in our house.

I told my mom yesterday that Logan never really had a terrible two....he is sure making up for it as he is approaching three!!! I already have enough gray hairs!! LOL

Those 2 boys would make a great team...well maybe not! I think they would get into too much trouble together
