Inspired by the Easter baskets Shanna made, I decided to make some baskets of my own. I did a lot of looking online and found this pattern that I loved.I took all 4 kids to the fabric store a couple of weeks ago and let each of them pick out fabric that they wanted. Caroline found her flower print right away and matched it with a light blue that she loves. Carter found a bright stripe on a fat quarter, but we couldn't find any by the yard--he searched and searched and finally found it--he was so excited to have it. Alex demanded something yellow and (luckily) Aaron had no preference whatsoever!
I wanted to put something on the front of each basket--I had something in mind, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Caroline found some butterflies that she loves, but Carter wanted a bunny and we could not find one anywhere. Luckily Grandma saved me and embroidered bunnies on Carter and Alex's and did a cute little A on Aaron's. I must admit here that my sewing machine will do embroidery, but I've never done it before and my mom was an angel to do it for me!
The pattern was really easy-- 1/2 yard of two fabrics, and a yard of stiff interfacing per basket.
First I cut it out, added the interfacing then did the embroidery
The finished product!

those are great! I'm being lazy with Easter this year ;)
Those are so cute! Fortunately, or unfortunately(for me) my kids are getting older, and not so much into the Easter thing. It is sad!
Those baskets are really cute! We will be seeing you Easter Sunday, we are coming to your ward for the Schares baby blessing.
