Spring Break: The rest of the story

The rest of spring break consisted of:
  • slumber party at grandma's house (Caroline with Abigail and Carter and Tyler a few nights later)
  • cleaning bedrooms
  • A cousin's party at Shanna's house
  • Several FABULOUS bike rides--I got a new bike and Caroline and Carter can go pretty fast on their bikes....once I took the older two while daddy watched Aaron and Alex, once I went by myself, once the two older went with Daddy, and once Caroline and Matt went fast with Alex in the bike trailer and Aaron and I walked/ran with Carter.
  • lots of time at the Y
  • very little time keeping up on all the housework....
It wasn't the most exciting spring break ever, but Caroline told me that she was amazed at everything she got to do "because at the beginning I thought I would only be having a sleepover and cleaning the basement". I guess when you have low expectations you have nowhere to go but up!

Now I wish that I had brought my camera and blogged more about it! That was fun to read about! :)

Seriously...DON'T set high expectation and then you are the best parents in the world! I was in Halle's class last week and they were all going around the roon and telling what they were doing for spring break..Hawaii, Mexico, California...you get the idea. It comes Halle's turn, and she says "I don't know I think we are going to the zoo or something." Poor kid. Luckily the zoo is actually exciting for my kids because we don't get out much!
