I love the tradition that I grew up with that the Easter bunny and the Easter egg hunts all happen on Saturday so that Sunday we can focus on the Atonement of Christ. It was great to ride to church in the morning. Caroline was briefing the boys on Easter--questions they might get in their primary classes that day--telling them and practicing their answers so they would get everything right....it was so great. No fighting over candy or who was touching who or playing with what toy--instead a 20 minute discussion on the Savior between 3 kids 7, 5, and 2. What was extra nice was that everyone already knew the answers--they already knew about the Atonement, why we celebrate Easter, and that Easter has nothing to do with a rabbit.....what could be better.

We do ours on Saturday too! It is so nice to have happy children on Sunday instead of children who are jacked up on candy and concerned about the what they got in their Easter baskets. It is also nice because then there is no additional rush to get ready beyond the normal. Yahoo for Easter on Saturday!
What a great looking family!
