Pumpkin Patch

Despite a couple of rain delays, we finally made it to the pumpkin patch.  The last few years we have made a tradition of going with grandma and all the cousins to a pumpkin patch.  The first year we loved the pumpkin patch, the second year we didn't love it as much, so this year we went back to the first.

The pumpkin patch is so fun--mostly because of the incredibly big pumpkins they have!
All the cousins (and a few friends) in the giant pumpkin area

The second reason this pumpkin patch is so great is because of the really fun (and long) hay ride--with real hay (unlike the other patch where school groups got to ride in the hay and the rest of us had to ride on a regular trailer with a bench).
Alex had so much fun playing in the hay--I think he had more fun than everyone else combined!
Alex and Aaron with the pumpkin they are buying
Carter LOVED the cornstalks so we bought some to use as decorations outside.
My kids and the Lichfields with their pumpkins...unfortunately this leads to my least favorite thing about Halloween....carving pumpkins!
