Yesterday we had an impromptu fishing trip with the Hopes and Schaers. We went to Island Ford a Chattahoochee river recreation area. There is a pond there that is great for catching little fish. The group caught a bunch of bluegill--we had a 5 gallon bucket that we put some water in and the kids loved watching the little fish swim around (we were going to put the fish back in the pond when we were done).
Alex loved loved loved waching the "baby fish" as he called them. He loved them so much that he decided that they need a snack and dumped all the bait worms into the water before anyone could stop him! Then we had to put the fish back and try to salvage some of the worms.
Alex was so anxious to catch a fish that Shay Hope caught one on a little fishing pole then let Alex reel in the fish. Alex was over the top excited about it. We took the picture above and tried for another picture of Alex holding the fishing pole too, but Alex got excited and released the line and the fish fell and came off the hook, so we tried to get a picture of Alex holding the actual fish. He was willing to touch the fish, but actually holding the fish was not going to happen. He loves looking at this picture and talking about his baby fish.

He is such a cutie! I love how he doesn't think he's too little for anything. Very strong-willed. Like his big sister!
oh, my gosh! How much does Alex look like an Olsen?!?! it's like Matt wasn't even involved! ;) (I'm sure he appreciated that comment, huh?)
He does look like an Olsen --finally! My others all look like I wasn't involved, so it is nice to have one that looks like me :)
