The last week or so, Caroline and Carter have been obsessed with the idea of being teenagers. I'm sure Caroline started this--she has been talking about been a teenager for years now, but only recently has it become the obsession with both of them.
They have decided that instead of acting like "kids", they are going to act like "teenagers". The other day we were eating out and they started all the teenager talk. Caroline told Carter that teenagers fold their napkin in their laps, and they fold their hands while waiting for their food.
Matt and I have jumped on the bandwagon, helping them know how teenagers really act. According to us Teenagers....
- Always talk nicely to each other
- Always have good manners
- Always listen to their moms and dads
- Always put their toys away
- Never leave a mess for their parents to clean up
- Never throw fits when they don't get what they want

I love the picture with this post! Good brainwashing! Keep it up!
I think my kids have acted like teenagers since they were born. I wish I could brainwash them to act like maybe adults. Funny story about the tooth. Harris is the same way. We have had to pay the dentist for at least 4 teeth now and will be making a trip the orthodontist in the fall. Are you feeling better?
Ouch on the dentist bill--I'm still sick a lot of the time, but it usually sticks with me the entire pregnancy, so I'm trying to just accept it!
Hilarious! You know that is the best idea I've ever heard for getting kids excited about growing up while still enforcing good behavior. Hope you don't mind if we use it too.

So funny! I do love the brainwashing idea. I am scared for the teenage years. Maybe I will try the brainwashing. :-)
That's a good one! Scary that it's close enough for them to be thinking about it though!!
