My Helper

We needed new pine bark for our flowerbeds. I noticed there was nice weather for a few days (not including Saturday) so I ordered the pine bark and decided to get it taken care of during the week.
I borrowed my dad's wheelbarrow to do the work.  Aaron asked me what I was using and I told him it was a wheelbarrow--then explained it was like a shopping cart that I put things in and then dumped out somewhere else.  Aaron's eyes lit up and he said "like a dump truck--a shopping cart has holes and you don't dump it, this is like a dump truck!  I admitted he was right and he wanted to help so we got his dump truck and shovel and rake and he set out to work!
I love the pictures Matt was able to take!

Aaron and I worked for 2 hours on Wednesday and 5 hours on Thursday (he was at school for 3 of those hours) Caroline, Carter and Alex helped a little while after they got home from school.....after 7 hours of work the pile was gone, but I think it will take me a month for my back to stop hurting!

I have to compliment Aaron on his excellent body mechanics while shoveling!
