Pinewood Derby

Carter's first pinewood derby was held on January 27, 2012.  Of course, we couldn't just be happy with Carter and Matt working on one car, instead Matt helped all 4 kids make a car.  After spending hours each night and hours each morning, I think he might have been regretting that decision.

Carter's car is on the left--named "Lightening", Aaron's train is named "Thomas", Alex's green/black car is named "Flash and Fire" and Caroline's blue and white car is named "Big Y"

Let the races begin!

The bishopric raced their car "The Bishop Brick"--which did it's job of losing every single race, to ensure that everyone won at least one race.

Alex was so excited after winning his race--I've never seen so much excitement radiating from one person, he was jumping and twirling and hugging everyone.

Caroline's car ended up winning the grand prize in the visitor category

After the "visitor" races, it was time for the cub scout races to begin.

Carter's car did great, and made it to the pack-wide championship, but didn't win.
